Singapore International 100
TT was one of the top ranked companies in the augural Singapore International 100
ranking in 2005 organized by IE Singapore with DP Information, ranking Singapore
companies with the highest overseas revenue. TT was also honoured to be the top
company with the most overseas revenue for the Middle East region.
Singapore Brand Awards 2004
AKIRA was named one of the 15 "Most Valuable Singapore Brands" at the
IE Singapore's Singapore Brand Awards 2004. This was the second consecutive
year the homegrown brand has received an accolade at the Singapore Brand Awards
to honour local brands with strong local and international appeal. It was a great
honour and strong endorsement for AKIRA to be named alongside other valuable
Singapore brands, indicating the confidence and increasing brand acceptance for AKIRA,
not only in Singapore but also in the region.
Singapore Brand Awards 2003
AKIRA was awarded one of the "Strongest Singapore Brands"
and also was singled out as "The Brand to Watch" by an annual
branding evaluation exercise undertaken by IE Singapore and Interbrand.
The recognition of AKIRA's brand strength in international markets
as well as its potential as an up and coming brand to watch are an
endorsement of our efforts, our business partners' confidence and our customers' support.
Global Trader Programme Status (IE Singapore)
TT was awarded the Global Trader Programme ("GTP") status by the
International Enterprise Singapore Board for a period of five years
commencing 01 October 2002.
With the GTP incentive, the Company will enjoy a concessionary tax rate
of 10% on its qualifying income, a development that will further assist the
Company in its internationalization efforts and contribute positively to the
Company's financial performance in future.
The Top 10 in the Enterprise 50 list from 1995 - 1997
For three years from 1995 - 1997, TT was consistently ranked among the top 10
most enterprising local companies on the Enterprise 50 list.
Enterprise 50 is a competition jointly organized by Andersen Consulting, the
Business Times and is supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board. This annual ranking event
is aimed at giving recognition to the contributions made by privately-held (as TT was then)
local companies to Singapore's econonmic growth.
The inaugural International Trade Award 1996-97: one of 10 winners
TT is one of the winners of the inaugural International Trade Award organized
by the Singapore Trade Development Board. The objective of the Internatioal
Trade Award is to acknowledge outstanding Singapore-based companies that have
made significant contributions to Singapore's international trade. In short,
the Award is the national recognition of excellence in international trade.
